From our clients: Rachel and Bobby engagement on a private rooftop

It was March 2016, our Senior year at Syracuse University. Both of us were on the Bumble App one night and just so happened to both match with each other. Bobby was actually in Chicago the night that we had “matched” looking at Grad schools and I was in Syracuse. I remember seeing his picture and description on Bumble and thinking I definitely want to meet this guy! You never know, he might be the one! We started chatting with each other on the app and then eventually exchanged numbers and started texting. I remember we stayed up all night texting with each other! I thought it was so crazy that the app that usually matches people that are within a distance from each other, had matched us when we were so far away. I think it was just meant to be! We eventually decided to meet up with each other on South Campus and from the minute I saw him in person, I just knew this was the man that I was going to marry. And the rest is history! 🙂

Bobby had originally been planning the whole proposal back in March before Covid 19 was becoming worse around the world. He created the idea that I was going to be invited to a “work party” for his company in April. He created a fake invitation and everything. Unfortunately, he then had to postpone the proposal because of the lockdown and Covid 19. Fast forward to July, the “work party” was now back on because we were going to be in Phase 3 in New York. It was July 10, 2020 and the East Coast was now going to be hit by a tropical Storm through the day and night. That didn’t stop Bobby from still going on with his plan and getting down on one knee and asking me to be his wife on a rooftop with views of the Empire State Building. I of course said YES! It didn’t matter that it was raining sideways and that we were still technically in the middle of a pandemic. I wouldn’t change anything and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this amazing man. He planned the most perfect proposal of my dreams.
