He managed to surprise his girlfriend twice that day, first when she saw her new favorite dress waiting for her to change in the room and the second one when her friends and family appeared with loud cheers to congratulate them.  When they walked to the terrace, Krista saw the flower heart on the ground and then her boyfriend took her hand and walked inside the heart and go on one knee.
