New York Is a great city to tie the knot—and now that marriage equality is law, all loving couples can exchange vows in this wonderful city.
But even though the city vote for the same sex marriage it is still very rare event compare to the straight couples and we are proud to be a part of this change. So here is a beautiful story of Marina and Neia, who declared their love on the Bow Bridge, Central Park.
Marina and Neia were spending their vacation at Orlando and on the way back to Brazil flew to NYC for a couple of days. “It was our first time in NYC and I though I could make it special for her”, Mariana says. “We’re together for 4 years and a half. We met at a night club in Santos, where we had some friends in common. But it wasn’t love in the first time Neia saw me… It took a while to convince her I was a nice person…. But I always knew she was ‘the one”. So while staying in NY Marina came up with the proposal idea and choose the most attractive place for it – Central Park. She loves nature and in the morning that places brings some peace to the crazy city, so I thought that nothing could be better than being in the heart of the city, where we could have some moments more peaceful”, Marina recalled. After talking to Vlad and agreed on the location and time, came the moment to ask the main question. “She didn’t imagine I would propose for a second. I was very anxious for the moment. In the day before, I couldn’t sleep well. I even suggested her to wake up about 5 a.m., thinking it was time already. But in the end, everything happened the best way it could be!!!”. Of course Neia says “Yes”!
The couple is back to their home in São Paulo, where the marriage ceremony will take place. Congratulations Marina and Neia, hope to see you again in New York.
