Brian and Angeli first met in New Haven, Connecticut on a project at Yale New Haven Hospital. After spending lots of time at work, Brian asked Angeli out and that’s how this love story began. After dating for almost two years Brian decided to pop the question. “We live in Los Angeles and were visiting NY for 1 week, so I decided to ask her to marry me on this mini vacation”, Brian said.
Visiting New York on a holiday season Brian was ready to see tons of tourists and lines everywhere. It is one of the most wonderful and cheerful times of the year, but also the busiest. “I originally chose the tree at Rockefeller Center, but realized it might be too busy and figured a quieter location would be better. I chose the Christmas tree in Washington Square Park since we both love Christmas and it seemed like a good location for us. I told her I thought there was a night market in Wash Sq Park and that it was near our dinner reservation.” The place couldn’t be better option, because it’s nice and quiet and looks good on the pictures. Of course Rockefeller Center has the biggest tree in the city, but when you planning a marriage proposal we would recommend to choose something less crowded and more intimate like Washington square tree or the Sea port tree.
After walking around the square and looking for the night market Brian finally stop by the Christmas tree and ask Angrli to marry him. “I felt excited and a bit nervous, she came close to finding out (friends, family asking about rings and acting strange), but ultimately she was surprised and didn’t expect me to propose in NY!”, Brian says. The newly engaged couple continues the celebration at the Jewel Bako with the delicious meal and champagne toasts.
