Snow day magical proposal in Central Park

This winter was very generous on snow and we were really excited to shoot this magical proposal in the park. Central Park is amazing at any time of the year, but it really transforms when it’s covered in snow. It just looked so magical and perfect for the pictures. We wanted to play on contrasts and add colorful flowers to the setup as a result it looks absolutely stunning.

Very often our clients are concerned about the weather conditions and not sure if it will be good to propose under the snow or rain. We always encourage you to go with the plan, because when you start changing things and move the proposal to a different day it might look suspicious to your partner, and second of all because snow or rain making pictures so much better and more atmospheric. Of course, we are not talking about the snowstorms or the hurricane conditions, but if it drizzles a little or some light snow is falling, always go with the plan.  In particular, the rain reflects the light, which will make your proposal pictures looks very sparkling. Snow too reflects the light and here you can play on the contrasts, snow and you wearing red or any other bright colors will make the pictures looks amazing. Always discuss the pictures with your professional photographer and let him know what photography style you are looking for. 

If you know that your partner will not appreciate those weather conditions, always have the plan “B” option. Either rent a space with the indoor and outdoor areas, move under the covered spot in the park or propose in the hotel room.
