From Chicago to New York with love and an engagement ring

Ulan and his girlfriend were planning a weekend getaway in New York and Ulan knew that it will be a perfect opportunity to surprise his partner with a marriage proposal. The couple lives in Chicago but always had a soft spot for the big city, so it was really important to capture that in a proposal shot. As soon as Ulan mentioned that we knew that the Dumbo area in Brooklyn would be a perfect spot as it has an iconic Brooklyn bridge and the city skyline in one shot.

On a proposal day, Ulan made a restaurant reservation in Brooklyn and suggested arriving a bit earlier to walk around. Imagine his girlfriend’s surprise when they walked to the terrace and she saw candles and a musician waiting for them.  He got on one knee and asked his best friend to be his wife. ” Omg, how did you even found this place!” she exclaimed.

It was a beautiful warm evening and the couple was able to see the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline covered in lights. This is the view that would say with you forever.

After the proposal moment, the just engaged couple and Vlad ( our head photographer) walked down to the waterfront and continue the engagement photo session along the pier.
