Gramercy Park is one of two private parks in New York, that are closed for public and only people residing around the park who pay an annual fee have a key for the park.
As a private park, Gramercy Park is held in common by the owners of the 39 surrounding structures, as it has been since December 31, 1831. The locks are changed annually and keys are very hard to duplicate. The only day this park is open to the public is the Christmas Eve.
You can also get a key if you staying at the Gramercy Park Hotel. That is exctly how our client Matt got it.
You can not imagine a more perfect place to propose than an absolutely empty private park in the middle of teh city. That was beautiful!
