Queens might be off the radar for many people, but this borough has a lot of hidden gems. From stunning Manhattan views of the Gantry Plaza state park to the famous world fair Unisphere, from one-of-a-kind Noguchi museum to the Rockaway beach, Queens has a little bit of everything for everyone. Queens is the second most populous county in the State of New York and most ethnically diverse county of the United States.  So here are best places to propose in Queens:

Gantry Plaza State Park

Gantry Plaza Park is famous for its stunning riverside views of the Manhattan skyline. The park is located in a former dockyard and manufacturing district, and includes remnants of facilities from the area’s past. The most iconic feature of the park is a collection of gantries with car float transfer bridges, which looks absolutely stunning on the pictures. The park was first opened in 1998 and expanded in 2009.

Best locations to propose would be:

  1. Hunter’s Point South Park extension. This area has a spiral observation point ideal for surprise proposals.
  2. Pepsi-cola sign. This spot is perfect for the night proposals.
  3. Pier next to the Queens Library. This pier is perfect for sunset proposals, has the direct view of the Empire State Building.

If you looking for a unique place to propose in Queens, this Hotel is right for you.  60s inspired, this hotel used to be a functioning air terminal now hotel with the rooftop pool, bumping cars and roller skating rink. The biggest surprise will wait for you outside where the “Connie” is, a decommissioned Lockheed Constellation L-1649A Starliner plane transformed into a 12-seat cocktail bar. Unisphere in the Flushing Meadows

The Unisphere is a spherical stainless steel representation of Earth in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens. It was build in 1964  for the New York’s World  Fair. Around the Unisphere is a reflecting pool surrounded by 48 pairs of fountainheads, which were intended to conceal the tripod supporting the globe. This location is perfect for a surprise proposal and the Unisphere looks absolutely stunning on the pictures. After the proposal you can walk around the park taking pictures, the best locations would be New York Hall of science,  Queens Botanical Garden and Meadow Lake. Best season to propose would be spring ( with cherry blossoms) and summer. Best package to use would be ” flower heart+photography”

The Rockaway

The Rockaway beach area has California vibes and its hard to believe that its part of the NYC. If you are a couple who loves to surf and spend the day at the beach, this location would be absolutely perfect. There are many Airbnb options around the beach, or if you looking for a comfortable stay The Rockaway hotel offers spa, rooftop bar and luxury accommodations.
